Dakota Freeman

For Dakota, family law isn’t just a career—it’s a calling that began around the dinner table as a child. As the daughter of Dennis, she grew up listening to stories of courtroom victories, difficult negotiations, and the importance of advocating for families in need. Inspired by her father’s passion for the law and dedication to his clients, she knew from an early age that she wanted to follow in his footsteps.

Dakota began her academic journey at the prestigious Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, where she attended on an academic scholarship and graduated with honors. With a strong foundation in business, Dakota went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, graduating cum laude. During her time in law school, she was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Transactional Skills, and served as a teaching assistant for Civil Procedure.

Now a practicing family law attorney, Dakota brings a fresh perspective and modern approach while upholding the same values of integrity, compassion, and tenacity that have defined her father’s legacy. She understands that family law matters can be deeply personal and emotional, and she is committed to guiding clients with empathy and strength, whether they’re navigating a divorce, custody dispute, or other family legal matters.

With a strong foundation in legal knowledge and a lifelong passion for advocacy, Dakota is dedicated to helping clients find solutions that protect their rights and their future. Working alongside her father, she is honored to continue the tradition of serving families in the community—one case at a time.
